Parents can help their children by following these tips for a successful testing experience:
● Be aware of the testing schedule.
● Be certain that your child has had adequate rest, which can mean an earlier-than-normal bedtime.
● Be on time for school.
● Avoid scheduling appointments that can be set up for a later date. If an appointment has to be made, check with your child’s teacher or counselor about specific testing times.
● Dress your child in layered clothing. This way, the child can add or remove layers to stay comfortable.
● Make sure your child has a book to read when he/she finishes testing.
● Have a positive attitude.
